Trauma is one of the key contributing factors underlying serious behavioral and physical health issues, which contributes to problematic behaviors, poor academic performance, and negative long-term health outcomes for many children. Trauma informed afterschool staff, and programs equipped to be trauma responsive, can provide engaging experiences that build youth resilience for improved health and educational outcomes. The Preconference Institute is geared toward all afterschool program types, and training will be provided by the Wisconsin Afterschool Network, a program of Marshfield Clinic Health System.
Preconference Institute: Trauma Responsive Afterschool Registration $35
